The '76-79 Seville is among the most elegant cars they've made in the postwar era. Look at the dash-to-axle, wheelbase-t0-overall length, and wheel-to-body proportions. Brilliant piece of design.
And the last good car Cadillac made (with the possible exception of the LT1 Fleetwood of the '90s) until their recent turnaround.

My great-grandmother had an Eldorado that was somewhere around an '80-'81.
Much like this one but in mint green or whatever the color's proper name is. A lot of near misses in the late 70s, but '79-81 they really nailed it with the Eldorado, IMHO.

Yup. 1979-81 would be the only years of that generation of Eldorado to get my respect. And for '81, only the 4.1L Buick V6 delete option-equipped versions are included because the other engine options that year were the Olds 350 diesel and the V8-6-4.
By 1982, the horrific HT4100 replaced the Buick V6 and the V8-6-4 in the Eldo, and all versions of that generation were ruined thereafter.
That Eldorado is a nice-looking car, certainly. It just isn't as elegant as the K Seville, to my eyes.

I agree, that was one handsome sedan. Now you've suggested this crazy idea of getting an old one which hasn't turned to rust and dropping a modern, low emissions, high MPG, powerful SBC into it. What a plush sleeper you could make!

Definitely the best looking Caddy of the 70s.
